Condition: New
The Angel with the Great Chain
Revelation 20:1-2
This unnamed angel is described in Chapter 20 as coming down out of heaven, obviously straight from the presence of the Lord himself. Some scholars believe this to be the “Angel of the Lord” which in the Old Testament was a reference to Jesus himself. He has been delegated the responsibility and the power to bind Satan with the great chain, rendering him powerless. He throws the bound dragon into the Abyss (the abode of the dead) and with the key he has been given, locks and seals the dragon in for a thousand years. This time period is referred to as the millennium, during which Christ reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Emerald Throne Scene in Heaven Notecard
Model: 5NC
Condition: New
The Emerald Throne Scene
Revelation 4:2-6
Revelation 5:11-12The apostle John is taken into the heavenly throne room and what a glorious scene it must have been! All of heaven singing praises to God on His throne. John can merely describe this heavenly vision with earthly terms. When the artist researched to do this illustration, she learned that the word “jasper” was used in those days to describe the brilliant precious diamond. It symbolized absolute purity. The carnelian, a blood red translucent gemstone symbolizes the wrath of God. Emerald, here with its peaceful green is a symbol of God’s mercy, arching around the throne like a rainbow reminding us of God’s promises to us.

The Promise Book; Tell Someone
Model: TPB
Condition: New
Story by Debbie Barth, illustrated by Pat Marvenko Smith
This is a children’s book that brings to light five potentially dangerous predator situations that a child may encounter. It is primarily aimed at the pre-school and elementary aged children to alert them to specific dangers. The parent, grandparent or guardian can read to the child about these dangers and explain how to avoid them. The author compares the world and the people in it to a garden. In this garden are flowers of all different colors, shapes and sizes. It takes each and every flower to make this garden beautiful. But, even in the most beautiful of gardens, weeds will sometimes grow. Weeds are not good for the other plants trying to grow. And sometimes, it is hard to tell the difference from the flowers and the weeds and the same can be said for people. But it is a good thing to know the difference, and to pull out the weeds, so that the flowers may bloom and grow in a wonderful garden, free of the weeds. The artist has placed a small “bad weed” somewhere in each illustration for the child to find.
