The throne seems to be transported by four cherubim who have beside them four wheels that can go in any direction. What a sight it all must have been to behold! In the chapter's concluding verses, Ezekiel records his reaction in verse 26: "This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell face down, and I heard the voice of one speaking." for the complete description and message, read Ezekiel, chapters 1 & 10.
